What Isotoon is

You ask a question. Isotoon writes an answer, checks the facts against a curated knowledge base, and draws it as a short animated video or an interactive you can change, turn and step through. You never appear in it, on camera or in voice.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has them. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

What you may not do

• Put real personal details into a question — your real name, address, school, phone number or anyone else's.
• Ask for content that is sexual, hateful, graphically violent, or that encourages anyone to hurt themselves or others.
• Try to arrange contact with anyone outside Isotoon.
• Try to get around the safety checks, or use Isotoon to build something that does.

We screen every question before anything is drawn, and every script before it is saved. Screening is good, and it is not perfect. If something gets through that should not have, tell us and we will fix it.

What you make

The videos you make are yours. We ask only for the narrow permission we need to store them and show them back to you inside Isotoon, and that permission ends when you delete them or close the account. We will not publish them, show them to anyone else, put them in marketing, or train any model on them.

What we make

The characters, artwork, music, software and the Isotoon name are ours. Enjoy them inside Isotoon; please do not copy them out of it.

Paying

Your first video is free. After that, making videos needs a plan: Basic, which is $20 a month, or Pro, which is $50 a month, on the website. Your first subscription starts with a 7-day free trial, one per customer: you are charged when it ends unless you cancel before then. Switching plans or subscribing again later does not start another trial. You can switch between Basic and Pro, or cancel, whenever you like and keep the plan until the period you have paid for runs out. Prices can change, but never for a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you first.

In the iPhone and iPad app, Basic and Pro are auto-renewable App Store subscriptions at the price the App Store shows before you buy. If the App Store offers you a 7-day free trial, payment is charged to your Apple Account when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends; otherwise payment is charged when you confirm the purchase. It renews every month at the same price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage the subscription and turn off auto-renew in your Apple Account settings after purchase. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. These terms apply to the app alongside Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Stopping

Close the account whenever you want, from Settings → Delete account. We may suspend an account if it is being used to break these terms or to put someone at risk, and we will tell you why unless telling you would itself put someone at risk. When an account closes we delete your information on the timetable in the privacy notice.

What we promise, and what we do not

We will run Isotoon carefully and keep it working. We cannot promise it will never be down, never be wrong, or never draw something odd — it is software that makes things up for a living, inside guardrails. Check anything you are going to rely on, like an answer for an exam. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the law where you live, and if some of this cannot be enforced where you are, the rest still stands.

Changes

If we change these terms we will tell you before the change takes effect.
